Gussie Marie, was my favorite aunt who lived in Halletsville. We would visit her each summer. She taught my sister and me so much while we worked on the family farm. This cabin is decorated in brown and red with fluffy pillows everywhere. This cabin is perfect for two couples away for the weekend or family visiting.

Cabin 103 - Marion Helen
Marion Helen was my Mother-in-law. Everyone called her Granny Pace. We should write a book about her. She always helped us run our restaurants back in Highlands, Texas. Could she cook! Her cabin is yellow and green with pink pillows. This is also a dog-trot cabin. This cabin is perfect for two couples away for the weekend or family visiting.

Cabin 104 - Reba Jane Angel
This cabin is named after Reba Jane Angel of La Porte. She was my husband's Kenneth's aunt. The whole family loved Reba Jane and was saddened by her sudden death. I just painted this cabin white and added blue and white bedding with lime green accents. Everyone loves it. It's the other half of the dog-trot with Cabin 105. The great thing about this cabin is the porches are so large.

Cabin 105 - Elsie Ida
This cabin is named after Elsie Ida, my Mother. I have pictures of her family from the old country on the walls and ruffled quilts on the bed. My mother would have loved this cabin. It's all soft with pastels and cool breezes. The small sofa has beautiful pink roses with a yellow background. It's the other half of the dog-trot with Cabin 104.

This cabin is one of our most popular cabins because it is black and white toile. Naomi Pearl was the sweet and feisty mother of my sister's husband, Calvin. She raised seven children out in the country.

Cabin 107 - Ernestina Elaine
Ernestina Elaine was my Grandmother from Halletsville. Her parents came over from Austria many years ago. This cabin has two double beds with peach coverlets and green lamps. There are rocking chairs on the back porch where the parents can watch kids play. Our river is seldom over two feet deep, so it's great for small children.

Amelia Anne was Ernestina Elaine's sister that lived in Halletsville. We would go see her in the summer and she always had homemade German noodles drying on the counter. Her cabin has two double beds with big patchwork quilts, red dust ruffles and lots of fluffy red and white pillows.
